I'm still here...

Well - I seem to be doing pretty good "periodically" with my weight loss. I've been jumping on the mini trampoline each day since we got it...I love it!!! Still watching what I'm eating and have lost a total of 4 pounds so far.

Rebounding...

I was on craigslist today and found a 55" mini trampoline for $5...WOW - this is bargain week for us since we just got our bike rack yesterday brand new from goodwill for $25...woot hoot!!!

According to Dr. Asa Andrew rebounding can burn as many calories as jogging. So tonight...I began my 10 minutes of rebounding...seemed like it took forever but it was a nice change to be able to jump, jog, and dance type movements on the mini trampoline.

Thursday - I'll weigh in again and see what's been happening...

Hey Bloggy land...

Well - it's been a week or so since I checked in...not that it matters since no one reads this but oh well.

I was doing REALLY well with exercising and stuff until I hurt my SI exercising on Thursday and since then I haven't really been doing much.

My hubby noticed that I was looking a bit thinner...not sure if that's good or not. you know, does that mean he thought I was heavier and just wasn't telling me???

I went to the Muny on Saturday night and ate WAY too much...oh well, I am feeling pretty good right now so I'm hoping to continue watching what I eat and exercising some tomorrow...we'll see.

Day 5 check in...

Hello to my bloggy land friends...how are you doing? I think I'm doing pretty good here. I have walked a mile everyday except yesterday - although I did enough activity yesterday to make up for it. I'm still watching my calorie intake and pretty much have had no sweets...as long as I stay away from Maggie Moo's - I should be pretty good...I hope.

I've been looking at this and wondering if it works??? If it does, I wonder if you can move the gel pads and place them on your love handle areas. :-) Don't have the funds right now to get it so I guess I'll have to continue to wonder.

Hope everyone is doing good - I plan to weigh in on Thursday or Friday...I hope I've made some progress as things are beginning to at least feel better on me. Have a blessed day!!!

It's Saturday...Hope you had a GREAT day!

Well - I think I'm doing pretty good so far...at least I'm FEELING good and have LOTS of energy!!! The Coconut Oil has helped me SO much with energy...I haven't weighed myself and I won't until next Thursday or Friday. I've walked the mile each day since Thursday...I know that's only 3 days but I'm really doing it and loving it.

I've been doing smaller portions and limited sweets - I'm wondering if the theory of limited carbs for 3 days and then eat whatever you want on the 3rd day so your body doesn't get used to it and never plateaus...I don't know. I'm going to test the theory and see.

If you stop by...hi - leave me a comment so I can get to know you!

Happy Friday!

Last night I tried to be good on my eating at the meeting I went to - I only had about a spoonful of the two desserts so I was happy about that.

When I got home I decided to do the Leslie Sansone "Walk Away the Pounds" 1 mile dvd...my goal will be to do that every day - except Sunday's - until next Friday when I hope to begin the 2 mile walk and work my way up from there...we shall see. I used to LOVE to run but since my knee surgery in 2006 - running is now out of my life. I can't even do a treadmill...they said the best thing will be an elliptical. I'm hoping the walking will begin to stabilize my SI joint. I might possibly mix the walk with the 10 minute trainer every other day.

Did you know there is a study out that says you actually lose weight when you sleep 7.5 hours a night? Here's the studyif you want to check it out for yourself.

So here are some of my goals:

* 5 bottles of water a day
* Juice Plus, Juice Plus Vineyard; 4000iu Vitamin D3; Fish Oil; 3-4 tbs Coconut Oil
* Walk a mile
* Monitor food intake stay around 1200 calories
* Limit all sugar intake

If anyone stops by here...I'd love it if you'd leave a comment. Happy Friday to you!

Today...I begin...still no exercise though

I got up this morning and weighed in on our scale that "isn't" digital so I'll only get to see "REAL" progress when I've actually lost a pound or more...I'm sure it would be much more motivating to have a digital scale but I'm not spending EXTRA money these days so the one we have will have to do until I join Curves.

My weigh in this morning was 158lbs...AND I actually went to the bathroom today (sorry...it doesn't happen on a daily basis so I had to share) I'm sure I lost a pound or two after that. :-)

I ran to Curves so I could check out the new circuit but they were closed for lunch...bummer - I missed them by 10 minutes...urgh!

I've done well on my calories again so far today but I'm suppose to go to a homeschool coop planning meeting tonight so I'm not sure how that's going to go. I'm not preparing to fall off the band wagon already on day one but it doesn't look good that I'm going to be able to stick to the remaining calories that I have and my goal of not eating anything after 7pm.

I did stop by the health food store and got some Extra Virgin Coconut Oil which really worked well for giving us energy and boost the metabolism last time we had it so I'm looking forward to upping the dosage to what Dr. Asa recommends of 3-4 tablespoons...we were only doing 2 tablespoons per day before.

We shall see...maybe I'll do some Tony Horton 10 minute trainer tonight.

The desire to lose 20 pounds

Well - it's been going on LONG enough!!! 2 years ago my mom was diagnosed with cancer and somehow between my "inactive" lifestyle and my eating through my mom's diagnosis and death...I have put on 20 extra pounds.

Here are some stats on me - I'm 5'7" and weigh 160 pounds...that's not an actual as it's been a few weeks since I've weighed. I'll begin my fit and trim challenge tomorrow but have been inspired today by Robyn and her journey that she has blogged about since Dec/Jan of this year. I'm not sure I will be "quite" as active or "quite" a go getter as her but I sure hope I can drop 15-20 lbs and keep it off.

The exercising part is going to be the problem...I fell down a flight of stairs last year and tore the muscles in my right side from my shoulder blade to my right knee. This wouldn't have been quite so bad if I would have went to the doctor and gotten things taken care of right away but the fall took place during the time when my mom got REALLY sick and then she died so it took me about 6 months to get my act together and to start focusing on "me". I have been to doctors visits, physical therapy, Chiropractors and have had several MRI & CT scans. It seems each time I exercise that I overdue it and grind my right SI...urgh.

I did really well a few years ago when I was doing Curves...I prefer to work out where there are no men unless my hubby goes with me. I'll check into Curves tomorrow and see what kind of prices they have. Until then...I haven't weighed today but I did a 1250 calorie day and will see if I'm starving tonight...I hope not!

****I'm doing pretty good - my hubby is eating carrots and my daughter is eating ice-cream but I'm just waiting for bedtime. Hope things go well tomorrow...I need to get an organized plan and layout my goals. ***
